Cleve Thompson Sr.

Cleve Thompson (superman) September  1938- February 2024 Loving son, husband and father Cleve Thompson Sr.  was  born and raised in Charleston MS.  He was known for his love of sports and work ethics. He relocated to Chicago where  he would marry his first wife  Juanita, who preceded him in death. From that union three children were born.  Cleve Jr. Vanetta and Vanessa. Cleve eventually found employment as a laborer at U.S. Steel where he retired from after  35 years of employment  He would later   marry his second wife, Mary Helen, who also preceded him in death.  . He was a fitness fanatic and loved working out, traveling and spending time with family and friends.  Cleve was also preceded in death by  brother Tommie Thompson and mother Bessie Thompson. Cleve leaves behind to cherish his memories:  son, Cleve Jr.  twin daughters.  Vanetta (Corey), and Vanessa. Two step Children,  Ledell (Sheila), Monetta (Dan).  Five grandchildren,  Terrance, Donte’, Valente’, Malika, and Nahkea.  Three great grandchildren,  Makayla, Santana,  and Ameera.   Three sisters,  Bessie Jean, Janice, and Parthenia.   A host of nieces, nephews  cousins and friends. Dad you will always be in our hearts.  Love you forever and ever.
