Timothy J. Polancyak of Park Forest, Illinois was called home by the Lord on February 10th, 2018. Tim was preceded in death by his Father, Richard Polancyak. Tim was born on November 12th, 1958 in Danville, Illinois. Tim attended St. Irenaeus Catholic School, Blackhawk Elementary and Junior High, and Rich East High School (Class of 1976) in Park Forest. Tim was proudly employed as a Custodian for Rich Township High School District 227 (Rich East and Rich Central Campuses) for numerous years preceding his death. Tim leaves behind a loving family, his mother Dolores Polancyak of Park Forest, brother Peter Polancyak (Valerie) of Weldon Spring, Missouri, nephew Nathan, and niece Reagan Polancyak of Weldon Spring, Missouri. Tim was a kind hearted man that even through numerous illnesses over the years, always maintained a great attitude and continued thinking of others instead of himself. Tim maintained a special place in his heart for numerous charities including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Shriners Hospitals for Children. Tim was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Chicago Blackhawks but had a deep love for all sports. Tim was a member of St. Irenaeus Parish of Park Forest and Knights of Columbus Nina #3602. Tim was a dedicated Son, loving Brother, and proud Uncle and will be dearly missed. A visitation will be held at St. Irenaeus Parish in Park Forest on Monday, February 19th at 10:00 am with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Westville, IL on Tuesday, February 20th at 10:00 am with a Memorial (Funeral) Mass to follow at 11:00 am. Timothy will be laid to rest at Spring Hill Cemetery, Danville IL. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Shriners Hospital for Children. Mass Offerings would also be appreciated.
