Jeanne Elizabeth McWhorter nee - Butler, 61 years, passed away January 23, 2009, in Alexandria, Louisiana. Preceded in death by her parents, Soule and Frances Thornton Butler. Loving sister of Mary Frances (late James Jr.) Meadows of Park Forest, Illinois. Fond aunt of James Meadows III of Champaign Illinois and Catherine (John Maloney) Meadows of Fairfax, Virginia. Ms. McWhorter worked as a draftsperson, custom seamstress & fashion consultant, and social worker. While attending graduate school at the University of Houston, she founded and helped operate DiversityUniversity, which allowed college instructors and their students to interact on the Internet in real time in an online classroom setting. The family will receive friends at the Church of the Holy Family, Sauk Trail & S. Orchard St., Park Forest, IL., on Saturday, March 7th, from 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 11 a.m.; Rev.
