Ruth E. Matteson, nee Grunlund, 89, January 9, 2010, resident of Park Forest, IL. Beloved wife of the late Edward K. Matteson; loving mother of Linda (Jay) Wick, Janet (Eric) Stevenson, Edward R. (Pat) and Charles (Elizabeth); cherished grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 1. Ruth was a registered nurse and was in the Park Forest Nurses Club. She was a proud Army Nurse serving in World War II. The family will receive friends at the new Hirsch West End Chapel, 3501 W. Lincoln Hwy.
