Barbara Ann Sanders, age 82, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2021. She was born on April 22, 1939 in Bruce, WI to Stanley and Martha Traczyk. Barb grew up in rural northern Wisconsin helping her parents with the farm. After she graduated high school, she moved to Chicago, IL where she got married and had three sons. After her divorce, Barb worked as a waitress and continued to be a caring and supportive mother. She enjoyed cooking, reading, watching a Wheel of Fortune and cooking shows. Her famous pumpkin pie was everyones favorite dessert for Thanksgiving. Barb was a resilient and fiercely independent woman, but she was also humble, kind and funny, a truly amazing example of unbending inner strength and love. She was a great mother, loving grandmother and an ideal mother-in-law. She was always there with her wisdom and advice when asked but she never forced it on anyone. She will be greatly missed. Barbara is survived by her sister Lucille Lawrence, nee Traczyk; her three sons and a daughter-in-law - Michael (Kat) Sanders of Plano, Jeffrey Sanders of Manhattan, John Sanders of Matteson; five grandchildren Ariel, Jacob, Nathan, Sam and Elly; many nieces and nephews. Barb was preceded in death by her three brothers: John, Stanley and Peter Traczyk and her sister Lilian Nawracaj (nee Traczyk).
