Carlson- Jan nee Betz of Crete, Illinois, age 83 years, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 21, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Carl D. Carlson; loving mother of Carol (Horace) Sanchez, of Harland WI, Diane (Patrick) Seaver of Minooka IL, Richard Carlson of Crete IL, Susan (the late Steve) Kelley of Beecher IL. and Linda (Jerome) Kossak of Columbiaville MI. Cherished grandmother of Scott Kelley, Rebecca (Ben) Williams, Matthew (Kelsey) Seaver, Alexandra Sanchez, Kelly Sanchez, Nicholas Seaver, David (Kristi) Kossak, Stephanie (Michael) Lyons, Rachel Carlson, Anne Marie Carlson and the late Paul Kelley; Proud great-grandmother of 11. Jan was a member of the Park Forest Garden Club; she loved to garden and retired after 31 years working for the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad.
