Dominic Emola, 91 of Olympia Fields, passed away at home on Thursday, August 9, 2018. He was born in Chicago Heights on June 26, 1927. Dominic served his country in the Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his daughter: Karen (Patrick) Dunlap; three grandchildren: Philip (Erin) Higgins, Tessa Haugen and Dominic Emola; great-grandchildren: Ryan, Sophia and Autumn Higgins. He was preceded in death by his parents: Giovanni and Rose Emola; his wife: Carol in 2017; his son: Bradley Emola; his brothers: Peter and Adolf Emola. He loved building model airplanes and was in the Cross and Cockade Model Airplane Club, where he received numerous awards for craftsmanship. A memorial service will at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Flossmoor Community Church, 2218 Hutchison Road, Flossmoor. Inurnment with his wife will be in the church columbarium.
