Donald Dudley passed away suddenly on January 23, 2025, at the age of 73. Donald was born to Garrett (Ed) Owens and Helen Dudley on January 18, 1952, in Caruthersville, MO.
Donald, affectionately known by most as "Dudley" was a star on the basketball courts in his younger days. Donald loved watching old westerns. His favorite was "Gun Smoke". Donald loved to sing and dance. His favorite quote was "I love you more today than I did yesterday". Donald was Dependable, Observant, Neat, Authentic, Loyal & Debonair. Donald retired from John Mansville in 2016. After retiring Donald enjoyed being present and supporting his grandchildren at academic ceremonies, band concerts and athletic events.
Loved ones left to cherish Donald's vibrant memories include his loving wife, Diana Dudley; daughters, Crystal King of Minneapolis, MN and Patrese (Michael) Williams of Matteson, IL; son, Avin Miller of Chicago Heights, IL; brothers, James (Theresa) Dudley of Altadena, CA, Steve (Jan) Owens of Fort Smith, AR, Glen Owens of Long Beach, CA, Mike (Shylitha) Owens of North Chicago, IL, Shawn Carter of Hayti, MO; sisters, Sheila Dudley of Chicago, IL and Cynthia Diane (Derrick) Robinson of North Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Bria (Michael) Johnson of Burnsville, MN, Quinton Williams and Alisha Williams of Matteson, IL; great-grandchildren, Madysen and Mehki Johnson of Burnsville, MN; lifelong friends, Donald Myart, Aaron Simpson, Leon "Butch" Chandler, Jr. and Jimmy Walker; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, Garrett (Ed) Owens; mother, Helen Dudley; sister, Patricia Dudley; two brothers, Orlando Owens and Anthony Woods.
