Donald Allen Scanlan, long time resident of Crete, died suddenly March 21st, 2008 at his home. Donny was born 1956, the son of Earl and LuBea Scanlan; brother to Fred (Joni) of Dyer, IN, Lou Ann (Curtis) Generous, of Great Falls, VA and Carolyn (Will) Craighead, of Indianapolis, IN. He was Loving Father to Garrett (Janell), of Steger, IL, Corey Ann, of Schererville, IN, and Hyson, of Steger IL, the proud Papa to Granddaughter Tayiah Marie and beloved companion to fianc Karen Lennie, of Monee, IL. He was Uncle to 10 nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews. Donald was a 1974 Graduate of Crete Monee High School, a Hoisting Engineer and a 30 year member of Local #150, International Union of Operating Engineers. Donald lived each day to the fullest, had a wonderful sense of humor and a great love for his family and friends.
