Doris Chiyoko "Cho" Shimizu, nee Yamaguchi, Beloved Wife of William H Shimizu, resident of Chicago Heights IL, born October 24, 1929 in Ogden UT, passed away peacefully September 29, 2014.
Loving Mother of Jeffrey (Michele), Alan, Thomas, William and the late Julie Shimizu;
Cherished grandmother of Lynn, Marissa, Zackari, Zane, Cogan, Ethan, Devin and Riley;
Proud great-grandmother of Ryann, Xavier, Gabriel and Remmi-May;
Dearest sister of Leanne (late Robert) Marley;
Preceded in death by parents Harry Nobori and Mausa Yamaguchi and sister Evelyn Yamaguchi;
Cho earned her degree from Weber College in Ogden and served as an X-Ray Technician at St. Benedicts Hospital in Ogden and Chicago Heights; and retired from Sears after 15+ years of service.
Member of the Pep, Cheerleading and Swimming clubs at Ogden High School Class of 1947; Chos favorite hobbies were watercolor painting and gardening.
Internment: Family and friends are welcome to gather Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Ogden City Cemetery, Ogden Utah for a memorial graveside service. Arrangement entrusted to Lain-Sullivan Funeral Home 50 Westwood Drive, Park Forest IL 60466.
