Edwin Creveling, 79, of Park Forest passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 at Hines VA Hospital. He was born on April 24, 1934 in Chicago; a son of the late Alfred and Melva (Scherer) Creveling. He served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Ed received his degree in Fire Science from Prairie State. Ed was a firefighter for the Chicago Fire Dept. and the Park Forest Fire Dept. His family members include his wife: Ann; his three daughters: Vicki (Charles) Zandi, Natalie (Eric) Phillips, Debrah Wheeler; his grandchildren: Kate, Sam, Shannon and Chris. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Fred Creveling. The family will greet guests on Wednesday, June 12 from 4:00 until 8:00PM at Lain-Sullivan Funeral Home in Park Forest. Burial will be Thursday at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
