Elsie Elaine Wujcik (nee Richmond), age 88, of Park Forest Illinois transitioned to Heaven on July 13, 2026.

Elsie is survived by her sister Beverly Archer of Cranston, Rhode Island, three children Debbi (John) Czernik of Matteson, Illinois, Linda (Jim) Ascherman of Lawrenceburg, Indiana and Michael Wujcik of Steger, Illinois along with her grandchildren Allsion, Brian, Michael and Samantha.

Elsie was born in Cranston Rhode Island on August 18, 1937. Elsie moved to Park Forest in 1960 and was a retail saleswoman for over 30 years. When Elsie retired, she loved to garden, where she received a Beautification Award. She also loved to cross-stitch, spend time with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed her cats, including Garfield! Elsie was a true patriot and celebrated all national holidays, proudly displaying her American flag. She was a strong supporter of Wounded Warriors and the Humane Society. Elsie was a sweet, caring, loving woman and enjoyed her church family at Crete Unite Methodist Church.

A celebration service will be held on Saturday July 25, 2026, 11:00am at Crete United Methodist Church 1321 Main St, Crete, IL 60417. Refreshments will be served.

Donations can be sent in her name to Crete Unite Methodist Church or South Suburban Humane Society in Matteson, Illinois.
