In Loving memory of Evangelist Dorothy Jean Cammon who was born on October 31, 1940 to the proud parents of Tometta Todd and Calvin Watson Sr. She was born in Stephens, Arkansas, but was raised on Chicago's west side with her siblings whom she was very close to. Evangelist Dorothy Jean Cammon attended Dawson Technical Institute where she earned her nursing certification. Evangelist Dorothy professed her faith in Jesus Christ at a young age. She was a member of Cosmopolitan Church of Prayer under the leadership of Revered Charles G Hayes where she was baptized, ordained and certified as an Evangelist. Evangelist Dorothy lived her life in submission to God and showing love towards others. She was a woman of prayer with strong faith. As a mother she raised eight children. She always went above and beyond, for providing for her family. She always made sure they had wonderful holidays, and the best overall life. She was the family matriarch. Evangelist Dorothy Jean Cammon transitioned into glory on Wednesday, May 29,2024 at 1:55pm surrounded by her family. One son preceded her in death Edward V. Cammon Jr. (Brenda), 3 sisters whom all proceeds her in death Maynel Williams, Geraldine Knight, Patricia Seal, 1 brother whom proceeds her in death Calvin Watson Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory seven children Mary Ann Watson, Denise Dixon (Michael), Julia Bryant, Drusilla Hall (Carey), Hendrick Felix (Tammy), Leanna Chamblis (Floyd), Elaine Dixon (Baptiste), 22 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 1 God-daughter Tanisha Bolden, and a host of nieces, nephews, in-law and friends.
