Rodgers, Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII and retired Navy Pilot in Korean War; Gerald passed away peacefully at his home in University Park, IL, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday March 3, 2018; beloved husband of Clara nee McKenzie Rodgers; loving father of Lise Mae Rodgers, Ardella (Les) Alberts, John (Carol) Rodgers and the late Daniel Rodgers; cherished grandfather of 7, proud great grandfather of 5; dearest brother of Lydia (the late Gene) Gallup and the late Franklin, Kenneth, and Herbert Rodgers; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.
