Helen McCormack, 94 of Steger passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Beecher Manor. She was born on June 16, 1918; daughter to the late Hiriam and Rena (Jefferies) Robinette. Her family members include her children: Karen (Jim) Wiater, Christie (Mack) McCormick, John W. McCormack II, Thomas W. (Barbara) McCormack; her grandchildren: Michael (Kim) Wiater, Mark (Patty) Wiater, Kelly (Robert) Johnson, Kerri (David) Spillers, Rena (John) Martinez, Gabriel McCormick, Joshua (Leslie) McCormick, Pamela (Tom) Ginter, Shelley (Alan) Best, Carol (Russell) Savage, Jennifer Drawdy, Michelle McCormack, Lydia (Christopher) Jensen, Mettie, Maria, and Thomas W. McCormack II; her great-grandchildren: Jason Heldt, Justin, Bradley, Zachary and Alex Wiater, Matthew and Kaylee Wiater, Alison and Zebulen Johnson, Collin VanSwol, Cayden, DJ, and Nicholas Spillers, Cameron Stegenga, Carli, Christian, Cole and Connor Martinez, Aiden McCormick, Jake and Zack Ginter, Russell and Alandra Savage, Ryann McCormack, Kyrstin Drawdy and Samantha Haufle, Clara and Logan Jensen, and Evelyn Hickok; her great-great, great-grandchildren: Sophia and Andrew Heldt; brother-in-law Virgil McCormack and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dr. John W. McCormack; infant son, Stanley; grandson, Cory Edward; her parents; and her brothers and sisters: Ed, Elmer, Prudy, Bertha, Pearl, Jim, Roy, Flossie, Roland and Waymond. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday at the Hirsch Crete Chapel, 507 W. Exchange St, Crete. Burial will follow at Skyline Memorial Park in Monee. The family will greet guests on Monday evening from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Hirsch Crete Chapel.
