Isaac Bell Jr., lovingly known as Junebug, was born on March 19, 1948, in Gilmore, Arkansas, to the late Mr. Isaac Bell Sr. and the late Mrs. Ethel Lee Childs Bell Wright. At an early age, he was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Junebug grew up with a competitive spirit and a heart full of warmth that drew people to him wherever he went. Junebug, a name given to him by his dear mother, Isaac, carried that name with warmth and pride throughout his life. It reflected love, closeness, and the special bond he shared with his family and friends. Junebug was an independent young man who began working at a young age alongside his dear friend, Mr. Bo Jones, at his local establishment who taught Isaac the beginning of adulthood.

Isaac attended William R. Golden School in Turrell, Arkansas. He also attended Tyronza Consolidated School, where he was a standout athlete, earning numerous track awards. That love of competition and drive stayed with him his entire life while he begins his life journey.
Isaac later married the late Johnnie Mae, and from that union came one child. This chapter of his life helped shape the man he became and prepared him for the many journeys, relationships, and blessings that would follow.

As his journey continued throughout life, Isaac later met Christine Campbell while living in Chicago. Their love grew and in 1997, they were united in marriage to their favorite song, Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me". The song beautifully reflected the love Isaac and Christine shared— a love built on support, devotion, gratitude, and the joy of knowing someone was always there through life's journey.

Isaac "Junebug" loved spending time with his family and creating memories with those he held dear. He was known to drive to Milwaukee at the drop of a dime just to visit his siblings, nieces, nephews, and anyone who wanted to share a laugh and enjoy a good time. His presence brought joy, conversation, and warmth wherever he went. Isaac also enjoyed basketball, track, billiards, drag racing, and classic cars-interests that reflected his lively spirit and love for excitement.

Isaac continued doing the things he loved most: working, staying connected, and spending time with family and friends. He remained faithful to the people who meant so much to him and was known for being on the phone daily, checking in, sharing stories, and keeping close ties with loved ones near and far.

On Monday, July 13, 2026, Isaac was called to eternal rest. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Christine Bell; his children, Cornelia "Punkin" Edwards (Pudd), Kelvin Jones, Tasha Horton, Nikki Bell (Dee), George Miller, and Sharhonda Burnett; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He also leaves behind his brothers, Charles Bell, Terry Bell (Freda), and Jerry Bell (Wilma); his sisters, Gussy Johnson of Champaign, Illinois, Patricia A. Bell, Helen Faye Lemons, Genetta Johnson, and Getrude "Trudy" Lambert (Buddy); his aunts and uncles, William Bell (Patricia), Larrie Bell (Wanda), Jean Seawell, and Matilda Carter; as well as his church family and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac Bell Sr. and Ethel Wright; his son, Isaac Edwards Bell; his sisters, Ethel Mae and Gloria
"Tussy" his brother, Billie Bell; Patrick Henry; and his grandchildren, Kelvin Jones Jr., Brandon Griffin and Isiah Jackson and great-grandchild, Kayden Jones.
