Janet Gee Bohacek, 68, passed away on September 25, 2017 in Homewood, Illinois. Jan was born in Chicago, Illinois to Jean Reinecke and Foster Stevens Gee on January 21, 1949. After attending college at Purdue University, she met and married Robert George Bohacek (1941-1990). She began her career in banking and finance in 1984, a profession in which she thrived until her retirement in 2004. Jan enjoyed a joyful retirement, full of adventurous travels, wonderful friends, and above all, quality time with her beloved family. Jan is survived by two children, Lorie (Chance) Barber and Lisa (Garrett) Hurt; and three siblings, Steve (Jerrie) Gee, Ruth (Augie) Bamonti, and Rob (Pamela) Gee. Jan had 1 granddaughter, 7 nieces and nephews, and 13 great nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved tremendously. A celebration of her well-lived life will be held on Saturday September 30 at 10:00 am at St Andrew United Methodist Church, 18850 Riegel Rd., Homewood, IL. 60430.
