Janet Urbon (nee Cloke), 81, primarily of Crete, passed away at her home in Bourbonnais on December 19, 2023. Loving wife of 60 years to Richard Urbon, tender-hearted mother to Julie (Jon) Wroughton, Todd (Kelly) Urbon, and Nancy (Jorge) Bonilla, dear sister of Robert (Mary) Cloke, cherished grandmother of Joshua Sloop, Adam Wroughton, Jenna Urbon, Samuel Urbon, Alex Bonilla, Abigail Bonilla, Aim Bonilla, and Eduardo Bonilla, proud great-grandmother of 5. Janet served as a Sunday School teacher and Brownies leader. She was very active in church having coordinated funeral dinners for many years at both Crete United Methodist Church and Deer Creek Christian Church. At Village Church in Dyer, she made countless meals for new mothers and those who were ill. Janet was loved by all who knew her grateful, sweet and giving spirit. Her life displayed dependence on God for every circumstance, love for His word and concern for others above herself. Visitation will be held at 9 am on Friday, December 22nd followed by the Funeral Service at 10 am at Lain-Sullivan Funeral Directors, 50 Westwood Drive, Park Forest, IL with Pastor Steve Miller of Village Church in Dyer, IN officiating. Memorials may be given to Samaritans Purse.
