Miller, W. Kay Past away at her home in Crete September 5, 2011, after a twenty one month battle with cancer. Kay is survived by her husband Neale, a sister Eileen (Robert) Pressler of Sarajevo, Bosnia, sons: Mark (Christiana) of Los Angeles, CA; Christopher (Dawn) of Redwood City, CA; Matthew (Kimberly) of Lake Villa, IL and Adam (Melinda) of Woodridge, IL. Devoted Grandmother and Great Grandmother to Sean, Niki, Awen Rose, Lindsay, Robert, Kyle, Alex, Kate, Nevaeh, and Dominic. A fifteen year employee of the Village of Crete Heritage Commission. Kay was a past President of Homewood Jr. Womens Club, member of Crete Womans Club and past President of Crete Baseball and Softball Association. She was an active member of the Chicago Heights Drama Group on stage and designing costumes for over forty years. Kay was preceded in death by her mother and father Helen Houchin Hiney, Omer Houchin and stepfather Clyde Hiney. Memorial in her name may be sent to the National Foundation for Cancer Research, Bethesday, MD 20814.
