Obituary

Mario Alberto Aguiniga Gonzalez was born on November 1, 1985 in La Piedad Michoacan Mexico to Luis & Maria Aguiniga. He is the youngest of 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Mario is the father to 4 beautiful children. Angel 22, Mario Jr. 12, Marco 4, & Miguel 2. He was also a loving pet dad to his cats Gata & Jax, his dog Lulu, his turtle Ms. Turtle and his ponies Prince & Brownie. Mario was born into humble beginnings and began working at the age of 5 to help support his family. He would go around to different businesses asking for work. He would take out trash, sweep the floors, run errands, whatever needed to be done, he would do. He would also sell donuts and sweets and help his older brothers with their street vendor businesses as well. Him having to work so young helped to shape his strong work ethic in his adult years. At the age of 14 he came to the United States in search of a better life and opportunities. He worked several jobs which included dishwasher, line cook, and a bus boy to make ends meet. Eventually he would begin working at tire shops where he discovered his true passion for working on cars. Mario loved everything about cars but especially custom rims and tires. In 2007 while working in a tire shop in Harvey, IL he met his now wife Erika while servicing her car. He asked her out but she declined. Erika would go to the shop several more times over the years and every time Mario would ask her out but she would decline his advances. One day in 2009 Erika went in to get service on her car and Mario asked to take her out and she finally agreed. They have been together ever since. In 2011, Mario & Erika opened their first tire shop but had to close it due to legal issues. In April 2014, Mario & Erika opened their second tire shop and have since expanded it to a complete auto repair shop. In 2017 they opened a nail salon which has since added on a beauty supply. In 2023 they opened a Mexican restaurant and are in the process of opening a bakery and building a 4 business strip mall. They have also invested in real estate and over the years have acquired millions of dollars in real estate holdings. While Mario was a proud businessman, he was an even prouder father. He was very much involved with his children and looked forward to raising them in his footsteps. He had plans for his kids to become home builders and real estate investors. Mario was also a great friend to everyone that knew him. He had a heart of gold and would always help anyone without hesitation. Mario also loved to party and to throw parties for his family and friends. Mario was a loving father, friend, boss, brother, uncle, cousin, and husband. He will be greatly missed Your browser does not support this video format. You should be able to view it in Chrome, Safari or Internet Explorer.
