Marion Hillger- 87 yrs., passed away September 1, 2015 at her home in Matteson, Illinois. Marion was born at home in Matteson on September 20, 1927 to Phillip and Hulda Hillger. Marion graduated from Zion Lutheran School, Thornton High School; she attended Thornton Junior College and completed her degree at Valparaiso University. Her career was spent working at American Steel Foundries, subsidiary of Amsted Rail, in Chicago. Marion lived in her family home in Matteson her entire life for over 87 years. Marion was also a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church. Marion was preceded in death by her parents Phillip Hillger and Hulda Hecht Hillger, and her brother, Richard Hillger and her sister Helen Hillger.
