"Bye to Bobo" In Loving Memory of Mary Gladys Allen Anderson 1 April 1941 -15 October 2015 Mary Gladys Allen Anderson was the second child and first daughter born to the union of Anna and Guy E. Allen, Jr. on 1 April 1941 in Chicago, Illinois. Both parents preceded her in passing, along with her husband Ralph Anderson, Jr., her son Ralph III and Uncle George Howard. Mary attended Parker High School, received a Bachelor of Science from Chicago State University, a Masters Degree in Ecology from University of Chicago. She then received her nursing degree from Chicago State University. She went on to become a Registered Nurse, a Psychiatric Nurse, and a drug counselor. Her lists of other accomplishments are far too vast to summarize. She was an avid singer and enjoyed her time singing for the St. Irenaeus Choir, St. Marys Catholic Church Choir, and The Chansonettes. Mary was a wonderful spouse, mother, and Grandmother. She is survived by two children, daughter Marjorie and son Christopher (Kelly), three grandchildren, Christopher II, Chloe and Connor, two brothers Stephen (Jeanette), and Mark (Phyllis), Sister Patricia Coleman (Melvin), nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
