Mary M. Morrise, 88 or Park Forest passed away Tuesday May 18, 2021. She was born in Webb, Mississippi on January 9, 1933; daughter of John and Katherine (Anderson) Cummings. Mary graduated from the Chicago Teachers College and was an elementary school teacher for 8 yrs. After her teaching career, she was employed as a phone operator at R.R. Donnelly & Sons for many years. Mary enjoyed reading, church worship service, roller skating, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She is survived by 4 daughters; Vicki Dowdell, Yvonne (Eric), Leslie Thompson, Andrell Thurmond and 4 grandchildren; Micheal, Ebony, Valashia and Rory. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husbands; Booker Morrise, Otis Dowdell and a brother Andrew, Family will receive guests Thursday June 10, 2021 from 10am until time of service at 11am at Lain-Sullivan Funeral Home 50 Westwood Court in Park Forest.
