Norman "Boots" Krabbe, 77, of Chicago Heights, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Bernard Mitchell UC Hospital. He was born on November 9, 1938 in Monee; a son of the late William and Elda (Stuenkel) Krabbe. Norm drove semi for over 30 years. He was an avid gardener and also was a volunteer fireman for the Steger Fire Dept. His family members include his wife of 55 years: Nancy (Ponton); four children: Jeffery (Judy) Krabbe, Christine (Joe) McNeely, Yvonne (Blake) Vincent, Anthony (Linda) Krabbe; fifteen grandchildren: Jillian, Phillip, Lauren, Kenneth, Brandon, Skyler, Elizabeth, Abbey, Anthony Jr., Nathan, Rachael, Alexis, Christopher, Isaac, Nicholas; two great-grandchildren: Evan and Gracie and two brothers: Vernon and Myron . He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother: Billy and sister: Dolores. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Salem Lutheran Church in Homewood. Burial will follow at Skyline Memorial Park in Monee. The family will greet guests on Wednesday from 3:00 until 8:00PM at Hirsch Funeral Home in Matteson.
