Robert W. Willford, 75, of Lombard, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove Wednesday July 28, 2021. Bob was born January 6, 1946, son of Ervin and Delores (Ward) Willford. Bob was employed at Fermilab for over 18 years as the training manager. He received his Bachelors degree from Quincy College and his Masters degree from Loyola. Bob enjoyed music, was member of church choir, loved pets, staying in touch with old friends, but his passion was his family; especially the grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Nancy, a daughter Jennifer (Charma), and grandchildren, Ginger and Mia. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, 2 grandchildren, Robbie and Jake and his grandparents, Harry and Carolyn Ward. Family will be receiving guests Tuesday August 3, 2021 from 10am to 11:30am at Lain-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Westwood Drive. Funeral Mass Tuesday at Noon at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cat Guardians in Lombard, Mercy Home for Boys and Girls and the American Cancer Society appreciated.
