Roni "Veronica" Ward March 29, 1941-September 9, 2012 In loving memory of a great mother, grandmother, family member and friend, she departed this life for a better place in the early morning of Sunday, September 9th 2012 at Franciscan St. James Health Chicago Height Illinois. Roni was born and raised in Gary, Indiana but in recent years she resided in Park Forest, Illinois. She is a graduate of Gary Roosevelt High School Class of 1959 and furthered her education earning a doctorate degree. She was a retired as a Professor of Psychology at Davenport University in Merrillville, Indiana where she was well respected by colleagues and students alike. Roni was a loving, God fearing person who professed Jesus as Lord of her life. She is survived by one son Rodney Razor, Indianapolis Indiana, one sister Cynthia Davis, Albany Georgia, three brothers Leslie, Cornel and Jerry Ward of Gary, Indiana. Four grandchildren Jermaine Razor, of Evansville, Indiana, Rodney Razor Jr. of South Bend, Indiana, William and Jasmine Razor of Indianapolis, Indiana, long time constant companion Jim Savage of Park Forest, Illinois and Ex-Husband Richard Dunlap of Gary, Indiana and a host of devoted family, friends and people who loved and cared about her.
