Obituary

Sara Jean McClure It is with profound sadness and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Sara Jean McClure (nee Taylor). She was born on May 14, 1936, in Birmingham, Alabama and transitioned out of this life to be with the Lord on October 9, 2025. Her life was a testament to kindness, compassion, and unconditional love. She touched the hearts of everyone who had the privilege to know her. Sara is preceded in death by her beloved sisters, Rosalind Taylor Seale, Peggy Taylor Bailey, and Judith Taylor Peebles. Sara made the Chicago area her home since 1960 and had a 40-year career as a pharmacist technician at St. James hospital in Chicago Heights. She loved to play guitar and sing. She was an impressive guitarist, playing Flamenco guitar, folk music, and soft rock. She also was a very talented sketch artist. She will be missed terribly by all that knew her, including her daughter Mena Swanson McClure Eastwood, son-in-law Charles Eastwood, grandson Nigel Perez, great-granddaughter Natalie Perez-Williams, beloved nieces and nephews, and many friends that knew her as "mom". As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the immeasurable impact she made. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her sweet nature, boundless generosity, and the love she showered on her family and friends. We invite all who were touched by her light to join us in remembering her, sharing stories, and honoring the extraordinary woman she was. Her spirit will remain with us always, a guiding force of love and kindness. Rest in peace, beloved mother. Your sweetness will remain in our hearts forever.
