Gavigan, Scott John, age 42 years, resident of Chicago Heights. Loving father of daughter Riley Ann; beloved son of Carol (nee Gingras) and the late John W. Gavigan, dearest brother of Keith Gavigan; loved by Aunt Diane Margita, Uncle George and Aunt Pat Gingras, and Aunt Peggy and Uncle Richard Gudmundson and his cousins and nieces; "brothers from another mother" friends Chris Jenkins and Eddie Boomsma; many other friends; loving canine companions Jessie (Lido) and Roxanne (Freakshow).
Scott grew up in Chicago Heights and attended Homewood-Flossmoor High School, where he was active in theater productions and had the starring role as "The Mad Hatter" in his senior year.
Scott was an accomplished Journeyman Carpenter for many years and was currently employed at Werner Enterprises as a professional truck driver and trainer, earning a number of awards. He was invited to be on the prestigious Werner "Roadeo" Team, which showcases high-level semi-truck driver skills. He was hard-working and always ready with a quip and a smile. Scott loved fishing and the outdoors, was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast, and seriously knew how to party.
