Susan Maas, nee Spens, 67 of Hazel Crest passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. She leaves behind her beloved companion of 25 years Charles E. Thompson; her beloved daughters Renee Priebe, Shannon Borrego and Rebecca Reyes; her sisters Michelene Ingram (Otto), Nena Miller (Rick), Andra Lindsay Heneghan (Mark); and her brother William Spens (Judy). She leaves twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Susan was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Maas Jr., her mother Mildred Todd Spens, her father William Yates Spens and many fond aunts and uncles. Services at 10:00AM on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Hirsch WestEnd Chapel in Matteson. Burial will follow at Homewood Memorial Gardens. The family will greet guests on Sunday from 1:00 until 5:00PM at the funeral home in Matteson.
