Stenning- Travis M. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 26, 2017. He married his childhood sweetheart, Lucille E. nee Koenig Stenning on April 14, 1945 and they shared 66 wonderful years together. Travis was preceded by his dear wife Lucille and his brothers William and Franklin Stenning; He is survived by his three loving children Diane (Rick) Johnson, Dona (Tim) Hlavacek, and Dale (Rita) Stenning. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Chris (Jill) Johnson, Alyssa (Jay) Dalby, Ryan (Amy) Hlavacek, Corey Hlavacek, Becky (Geoff) Pearl and 10 great-grandchildren. His relationship with the Lord and his family were first and foremost in his life. Travis was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Crete and was actively involved throughout his life. He was a member of the Amvets, Lions Club and was a volunteer for the Crete Fire Department. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during WWII Visitation will be Monday, January 30, 2017, from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 11 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church 1393 Elizabeth St, Crete, IL. Interment Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
