Alice was my cousin. Her father was my father Fredrick, older brother and Uncle George was my Godfather. Alice was close to my sister {LaVerne who died in 1938 at the age of 13} Alice and I did not know each other well after my sister death and the on-going war to follow. I was only two when my sister died and things were very hard for my family because of it. But Alice was a good friend to my sister during her short life and know God will bless her for this. My sincere sorrow for her family in their loss. Mary Caroline Powers McCullars.
