Alita E. (Anderson) Schram of California, Missouri passed away on Monday July 16, 2018 at home. She was born on July 31, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Melvin & Asta Anderson. Her parents and infant brother Dennis preceded her in death.
Alita married Lambert J Schram in Chicago on June 20, 1953. Lambert died in October 1989. Alita worked for Rich East High School in Park Forest, Illinois for 28 years retiring in 2000.
Surviving children are Michael & Lale (Peterson) Schram of Manteno, Stephen & Cindy (McKim) Schram of California, Missouri, Jeffrey & Susan Schram of Joliet, Gregory & Kathy (Griff) Schram of Naperville and Nancy (Schram) & Richard Schatzer of California, Missouri.
She was also survived by grandchildren, Gregory Schram of Milwaukee, Timothy Schram and Jennifer Collett of Beecher, Alison (Schram) and Brandon Kenyon of New Lenox, Daniel Schram & Meghan (Cain) Schram of Columbia Missouri, Jessica Schram of California, Missouri, Ryan Schram & Dakota (Flowers) Schram of Dallas, Texas, Tyler Sarah Schram of Wilmington, Matt Schram & Mary (Alexander) Schram of Naperville, Katie Schram of Naperville, Tanya (Smulders) Potter and Bryan Potter of California, Missouri, Laura Latham of California, Missouri and Jason Schatzer of California, Missouri.
Alita’s Great-Grandchildren are, Michael Schram of Beecher, Mazzy Sol and Zen Mani Schram of Columbia, Missouri, Preston Miller, Harper Potter, Raylin Potter, Sesley Potter, Leland Potter, Taylor Zimmerman, Garrett Latham and Danika Latham of California, Missouri.
Alita was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in California, Missouri and previously a long time member of St. Irenaeus Church in Park Forest. She loved reading, doing cross-word puzzles, playing Bunco and visiting with her family and friends.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. on Friday July 27th at Lain-Sullivan Funeral Home 50 Westwood Drive Park Forest, Illinois 60466 Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sister Mary Ruth in Care of “People in Need” 414 W. Patrick Street California, Missouri 65018.
