Andrea S. (Barber) Blades

Andrea “Asue” Blades nee Barber, resident of Park Forest, passed away on Thursday afternoon surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of 50 years to the late Jerry Blades; Loving mother-stepmother to Rita (Kenneth) Hill and Tonya Blades;

Cherished grandmother to KJ Hill, Talana (Hassan “Pooda”) Hughes, Brittani (Brian) Mitchell, Brook Barrett, and Brianna Barrett;

Proud Grandma Doggie to HaSana Hughes, Keyshon Hill, Tiahna Hughes, Amya Berry, Hassan Jr.”Poo2” Hughes, and Grandma to Austin and Autumn Mitchell

dear cousin to  Patti Bell, Mishawaka, and Connie Garbacz, South Bend;

kind aunt too many nieces and nephews; best friend to Sheila Bowen and Sophia Taylor as well as a host to many other close friends.

preceded in death by her devoted parents Joseph and Alberta nee Cook Barber

Andrea was a school teacher in the Harvey School District, she started teaching at Lowell Elementary School before moving on to Brooks Jr. High School, she was also an avid bowler. Andrea was the dog Master to Jabby and the late 6 other dogs.
