Barbara Zandi

We are sad to announce the death of Barbara Zandi, of Fort Mohave, AZ. Barbara was 80 years old at her time of death on October 4, 2023. She was born to Leonard and Helen Fox on June 23, 1943 in Chicago Heights, IL. She attended St. Anne Catholic grade school, graduated from Bloom Township High School in 1961 and Bloom Community College in 1965 all in Chicago Heights.  Barbara worked for J.C.Penney, Victor/Stauffer Chemical Company, Illinois Bell Telephone, Sherwin Williams Research Lab, Skyline Answering Service, The Prudential Insurance Company and Harrahs’ Joliet Casino and Hotel. She married James A. Zandi on June 26, 1982. Barbara retired to Ft. Mohave, AZ in 2006.

She is preceded in death by her father in 1954, her mother in 1966, step-father Joseph Magner in 1980, her sister Patricia Sedlacek in 1990, husband James in 2006, niece Elizabeth Young in 2011, stepson Daniel Zandi in 2012, and brother James Fox in 2015. She is survived by her step children Tom (Teri) Zandi of Park Forest, IL; Kathy (Mike) Fennell of Matteson, IL; Tony (Jenny) Zandi of Steger, IL; Chip (Vicki) Zandi of Park Forest, IL; Brenda (Scott) Anderson of Park Forest, IL; Denise (Mike) Green of Matteson, IL; Vikki (Casey) Morris of Naperville, IL as well many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Barbara was an avid reader, loved to crochet and loved to bake. She was a member of The Columbian Ladies and an active member of her church, St. Margaret Mary’s in Bullhead City, AZ. 

There will be a visitation for Barbara from 10:30-12:00 PM at Lain-Sullivan & Hirsch Chapel at 50 Westwood Drive, Park Forest, IL on Saturday, November 11, 2023. Following the visitation we invite you to join us for a service at Assumption Cemetery Chapel in Glenwood, IL at 1:00 PM.
