Christine Maddaleni

Christine Maddaleni was born February 3, 1945 in Tampico, Mexico to Maclovio Ruiz and Christina Ruiz.  Although Christine was born in Mexico, she spent her early childhood years living in Brownsville, Texas with her parents and five sisters.  In 1954 the family moved to Chicago Heights, Illinois.  Christine graduated from Bloom Township High School in 1963 and joined the workforce immediately after that. Her pride and joy as a young adult was her 1965 Mustang.  While working at Northern Trust Bank in downtown Chicago, Christine met Tom Maddaleni.  They eventually married in 1971 and started their life together in Park Forest, Illinois.  Their first child, Matthew Maddaleni, was born in 1974.  Five years later, their second child, Adria Maddaleni, was born. 

Christine was a diehard Chicago White Sox fan and enjoyed watching them play at the ballpark and on TV.  She also loved warm weather and spending time with family and friends.  During retirement Christine enjoyed spending quality time with her grandsons, taking them to the movies and partaking in other fun activities.  Christine and Tom frequently vacationed in Florida and Mexico.  Surrounded by family, Christine peacefully transitioned on July 23, 2022. 

Christine was proceded in death by her father, Maclovio Ruiz, her mother, Christina Ruiz, her sister, Lourdes Vertucci and her sister, Juliette Hammond. Christine leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Tom Maddaleni, son, Matthew Maddaleni, (Alex), daughter, Adria Maddaleni (Demetrious), grandsons Brandon Maddaleni, Devon Maddaleni, Drew Wallace and Aiden Wallace, sister, Minerva Lattimer, sister, Graciela Ruiz and sister, Gloria Schurick.
