A longtime resident of Park Forest, Frank Algmin, passed away on September 26, 2022 due to complications from his battle with cancer.

While working at the VA Lakeside Hospital, Frank enjoyed coaching several teams for Park Forest Boys Baseball. He served during Operation Desert Storm and eventually retired from the United States Army Reserves as a Major.
Preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Dorothy Algmin of Chicago, IL, Frank is survived by his sister Jane (Alf) Howard of Boston, MA, two sons Anthony (Helen) Algmin of Lombard, IL, and Christopher (Kristin) Algmin of Parkersburg, WV, one daughter Allison (Willie) Clarkson of Highland Village, TX, seven grandchildren - Isaac, Justin, Arthur, Noah, Irene, Elaine, and Vincent, former spouse Jan Algmin of Tucson, AZ, and several nieces and nephews.
