Jack Raymond Williams, passed away peacefully in his own home, surrounded by his loving family on May 12, 2018 at the age of 95 years. Beloved husband of the late Mary Berneice J. Williams; Loving father of Jacqueline R. and Drew A. Williams. 

Jack was a graduate of University of Colorado BSCE. Four years in Exploration Geophysics in North and South America. Retired Engineer of Bridges from the Chicago Rock Island and Pacific Railroad after 30 years. Supervised the design, construction and maintenance of all the Bridges on the Rock Island System.

Retired Vice President of Alfred Benesch and Company Consulting Engineers after 14 years. Supervised the design of railroad bridges and related structures.

Past President of the Maintenance of Way Club of Chicago, Illinois. Past President and Honorary Member of the American Railway Bridge and Building Association. Honorary Member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association  .

USMC World War II Veteran, past chairman and member of Emeritus of the American Railway Engineering Association's Committee and Concrete Foundation. Past chairman of the Associations's Committee on Concrete Railroad Ties. Member and Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Licensed Professional Engineer in several states.  Biography is listed in Who's who in America and Who's who in the World.
