Janice Kurgan

Janice Kurgan (nee Anderson), age 75, of Park Forest, Illinois passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022. 

Janice is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Thomas H. Kurgan. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughters Kristen Marie Kurgan and Lisa Eileen Kurgan Brudd. Also surviving her is her granddaughter Faith Victoria Kozora, her brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Laurie Anderson, her niece Kate (Eric) Wiersema, and her son-in-law Stephen Brudd. She will be missed by other family members including nieces, nephews and in-laws. Janice will also be missed by many of her daughters' friends to whom she was like a second mother.

Janice was born to her loving parents Edward and Pearl Anderson and raised in the North Pullman area of Chicago. She was a graduate of Fenger High School.  Janice was married and raised her family in Park Forest, Illinois.  Prior to her starting a family, Janice was employed by International Harvester. In later years, she was the Sunday morning receptionist at Faith United Protestant Church in Park Forest.

Janice was an avid Cub fan.  She relished the Christmas season when she would fill her home with decorations and gifts. Janice also enjoyed vacation trips with family to numerous destinations including Indiana Beach, the Wisconsin Dells and Disney World.

A memorial service is being planned at a later date.
