Kelly Diane Sykes

Kelly Diane Sykes, 55, of University Park, IL, passed away on November 11th, 2023, in Olympia Fields, IL.

Kelly Diane Sykes was born on the south side of Chicago to Barbara Jean Lewis and Charles Peebles on July 23rd, 1968. She worked as a Home Health Care Aide for Oak-Leyden for more than 10 years. Kelly went to school at Olive Harvey College in Chicago to study Social Work. She always wanted to help people and cared so much about the welfare of people in general.

Kelly spent her life taking care of her children the best way she could. Her children grew up learning many things and exploring fun activities in Chicago. Kelly enjoyed spending plenty of time with her grandchildren.    

Kelly is preceded in death by her mother (Barabara) and Brothers (Lionell, Louis, and Lawrence Sykes).   

Kelly is survived by her three children (Tristian Sykes, Quinton Bowie, and Shanice Bowie), and her two grandchildren (Nariah Bowie and Naomi Simmons).

The family of her children wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Franciscan Health in the transition of her life to a better place.
