She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur L. Albert, her parents Lawrence and Ida Trenary, two sisters: Edith Umland and Joyce Crow. Velma was a loving mother of Elizabeth (Gary) Glapa, Arthur (Kimberly) Albert Jr, Cathy (Mark) Younglove. Fond Sister of Robert (Carol) Trenary and Lawrida (Dick) Gilliam. Velma was an avid Cubs fan and a dedicated game show watcher. She enjoyed gardening and loved watching hummingbirds from afar. Her diet consisted of her favorite puff corn and dove dark chocolates. Velma made friends wherever she went, and never met a stranger. She spent her remaining years making lasting friendships at the Timbers of Shorewood. She also loved completing puzzles and playing cards “the Albert way.” Velma always knew her way around a dice game. She loved her family unconditionally and her favorite saying was “I love you more.” Velma was known for running through the list of generational names before she got their name correct, we just knew to respond to whatever name we were called. She forever impacted everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
