Randall “Randy” Jerome Johnson  was born to James and Imelda Johnson on November 9, 1966,  at Illinois Research Hospital.  As a youth, Randy attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pembroke Township, Illinois.  He began his education at St. Anne Academy, where he was an enthusiastic altar boy.  He finished elementary school at Washington Elementary, attended Washington Junior High School, and graduated from Bloom Township High School in Chicago Heights,Ill. He began his career at the Chicago Heights Water Department at the age of 16, working after school and summers.  To further his education, he took classes in water conservation at Prairie State Community College.  A dedicated employee for the Chicago Heights water department, Randy endeavored to be a 'super hero'  in his field.  He was active in the community as an election judge, and developed a passion for umpiring, particularly little league baseball.  His hobbies included reading, science fiction, playing sports, science, and playing chess, a game he truly enjoyed.  He loved his sons, Myles and Christopher and he enjoyed cooking with them, chasing storms and encouraging them to play sports.
